The 2017 NC Solid Waste Enforcement Officers Association Fall Conference will be held Wednesday, October 25 through Friday, October 27 at the Shell Island Resort in Wrightsville Beach. There is a full slate of programs and presentations designed to bring you up-to-date with the trends in enforcement practices, changes in legislation, state-of-the art technology, and training designed to keep you safe and help you to manage the wide variety of situations and personalities you encounter every day on the job.
On Tuesday, October 24 we will have a pre-conference workshop, Tactical Communication & Situational Analysis, that will be presented by Lieutenant Tim Fuss, currently serving with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department; formerly an instructor with the NC Justice Academy. The workshop is designed with two components. The morning will consist of an instructional session where you will learn how to assess people and situations and choose an appropriate communication style. The afternoon will be designed as an interactive session with role-play scenarios, so that you can test out your new-found skills.
